To qualify for Access PLUS, the member must self-certify that their household income is 50% or less of the Area Median Income.
No paperwork or financial statements are required to be on the plan; the self-certification selection was designed to avoid many of the hassles normally associated with income-based programs.
PLUS waives the $1,000 deductible in the event you are in an accident. Additionally, PLUS increases your daily mileage limit and waives administrative fees.
PLUS is standard on Access PLUS.
Access PLUS is our lowest rate plan, designed to keep carsharing equitable.
We aim to address environmental, social, and racial inequities in the transportation system. Within the transportation system, we aim to achieve change by providing electric carshare vehicles and related infrastructure through the following goals by 2026:
•50% use by BIPOC members
•40% use by very low-income members
•20% use by very low-income and BIPOC members
When you sign up with Evie, you also sign up with HOURCAR, giving you access to 50 locations and a variety of round-trip vehicles across the Twin Cities and Rochester.
Each plan has a partner, so the Access PLUS Plan with Evie automatically partners with the Access PLUS Plan at HOURCAR, our lowest cost plan with the highest benefits. Rates and mileage may be different between Evie and HOURCAR trips, so know the differences before you take your next trip.
You can reserve an HOURCAR for as short as 30 minutes and for as long as 3 days, up to 6 months in advance. So plan ahead and reserve a Subaru for that trip up north, a Tacoma for hauling around gear, or a Prius for a weekend of errands.
